The Alpine Botanical Garden on Monte Corno

The mountains noth of Vicenza preserve a rich heritage of plants and flowers. The Alpine Garden was laid out in order to see these plants and to give our children the chance to learn about them. In an area around a spur of red ammonitic rock at 3.900 ft. above sea level, various life environments have been reproduced: wet zones, bushes, alpine meadows, scree slopes and others typical of the Vicenza mountains. The plants have been distribuited according to the belts and climate of the natural environmet. In the central area you can see a floristic series in various beds of which some of the plants and flowers are extremely rare. In the garden a number of trails of considerable botanical interest spread out in various directions.
